| 7 - Quick Steps to get up and running. |
| |
Step 1. Enter your customers. You have three options to accomplish this.
Import your customer database from QuickBooks. Click on "File" at the top left of Gopher 2003
click on "Import" then choose "Quickbooks Customer List."
Import your customer database from Gopher 98. Click on "File" at the top left of Gopher 2003
click on "Import" then choose "Gopher 98 Entire Database."
Or you can simply click on the "Customer" section of Gopher 2003 and click "New." Then you
can enter each of your customers.
Step 2. Click on the “Service” section that runs along the
green bar at the left of the screen. Click the “New” button and enter
your services under the “Service” tab. Switch then to the “Customer
Prices” tab and set up each customer’s fee for this service.
Step 3. Click on the “Route” section that runs along the green
bar at the left of the screen. This window has two tabs at the top:
“Route List” and “Crew List.” Click on the “Crew List” tab and set
up your crews. Then click on the “Route List” and click the “New”
button. A “Geographic Route” window will appear. Bring customers
from the “All Other Properties” window into the “Current Route”
window that you want in this route. Then use “First”, “Prior”, “Next”,
and “Last” buttons to geographically order the customers in your
route. Order them as if you were going to visit one after the other
straight through the entire route.
Step 4. Click on the “Schedule” section that runs along the
green bar at the left of the screen. Click the “New” button and follow
the setup wizard to schedule your jobs.
Step 5. Use the “Print Jobs” button in the “Schedule” section to
print out your work sheets for each day.
Step 6. At the end of each day or at the end of the week, highlight each day on the Schedule calendar and click on the “Completed”
jobs button to let Gopher know those jobs have been completed.
Step 7. At the end of your billing cycle, click on the “Generate”
button, located on the Schedule page and print out all of your invoices.
